Cell Matrix ArraysTM

Cell Matrix arrays are composed of biomaterial microarray platforms and modeled microenvironment niches, containing natural and synthetic biomaterials. Cell matrix arrays are used as a cultivation tool for scale up expansion & production of stem cells and/or to promote and control specific differentiation of stem cells and their progenitors.

In addition to microscope slides, our cell matrix arrays are printed in the bottom of (24, 96, 384) microwell dishes (Microplate Biomaterial Microarray, MBMTM) making this technology quite compatible with routine laboratory cell culture procedures, equipment, and analysis systems. For expansion and production, micro and nano beads containing the same biomaterial components  are used. Furthermore, MBMTM platform readily permits high throughput screening for drugs that may directly influence stem cells and their biology (see below).  A brief outline of the progress of our R&D in this area is shown in the following figures.

Company plans to commercialize several universal and specific formats of cell matrix array products in the near future (see Tech. Pipeline page). In addition, validation of these prototype products using human embryonic and adult stem cells is currently in progress.

For further information & interest please email us at DNAmicroarray, Inc. Technology Access Program (TAP@dnamicroarray.com)  with a brief description of your project. Review and approval of each project proposal by our scientific advisory board may result in company participation in a collaborative project.
